Aviation Fuel Duty Petition

Jim Addison has passed the following emails to LAGAUA. We would all appreciate some reduction in fuel costs.

For LAGAUA Chris Wylie. Hon Sec.

I am a member of Fair Fuel UK and this organisation does have lobbying arrangements in parliament.Current fuel duty is 37.7 pence per litre and VAT is added making the total 42.5 pence per litre. This not only applies to car fuel but also to AvGas.I think a reduction in fuel duty would also be reflected in AvGas prices.I think we should ask all our members to sign the petition and perhaps also the LAGAUA members?

Please Sign our ePetition to make fuel suppliers price fuel fairly and honestly when oil prices change. 15,000 have signed so far!

In October you should have paid at least 4p per litre less

Dear FairFuelUK Supporter,

On Tuesday MPs delivered 23,000 signatures supporting PumpWatch to the Treasury. On top of these signatures we also have 15,000 more, supporting through the PumpWatch Government ePetition. BUT to get the Government to debate setting up PumpWatch we need to hit 100,000 signatures.

If you have not done so yet, and you’re one of the millions of drivers who can’t understand why fuel prices rise almost overnight but take weeks to go down, please sign this ePetition.

53MPs sent a letter to the Chancellor (see link below) backing our call for a cut in Fuel Duty and the creation of an independent PumpWatch body to monitor and regulate vehicle fuel pricing,

We can’t get this to happen without your help. Please forward this email to all your friends, family and coleagues.
