Rise in SUA/Drone incidents

Rise in SUA/Drone incidents

Following a recent flight safety meeting at Liverpool Airport it was noted that there has been a rise in SUA (drone) incidents in the vacinity of the airfield – many of which potentially conflict with landing traffic and could cause a collision. Whilst a collision has not yet occurred, there have been an alarming rise in the number of near-misses recently. These incidents are taken extremely seriously and pilots should report them so that the police can be informed.

If you spot an SUA whilst flying in the vacinity of the airfield, please report to ATC over the radio, or via email to sua@liverpoolairport.com
