As many of you will be aware Jim Addison retired as Chairman of LAGAUA at our recent AGM and I was priveleged to be elcted chairman in his place. Jim was the founder of LAGAUA and its inspiration. He has worked tirelessly to promote the interests of GA at Liverpool and as I said at the AGM Jim will be a hard act to follow.
Since its inception 4 years ago LAGAUA is now well established at LJLA. We have a voice on the ATC safety committe, the local runway safety committee and the airport consultative body and I am pleased to say that our views are listened to and respected. Much of this progress is due to Jim’s hard work and dedication to the cause of GA.
We in the Liverpool GA community are for ever indebted Jim for all that he has done to protect our interests. On behalf of all of the members of LAGAUA I would like to thank Jim for all of his hard work and to wish him well for the future.
